Wolves pushing to sign £22m Brazilian before transfer deadline after Manchester United turn him down

Wolves are now trying to complete a late deal before the transfer window shuts at 11pm on Friday – after Manchester United rejected the opportunity.

Gary O’Neil has already welcomed Jorgen Strand Larsen, Pedro Lima൩ and Rodrigo Gomes t👍o Molineux this summer – while also making Tommy Doyle’s loan into a permanent deal – but the Old Gold are not done yet.

So, who could Wolves sign before Friday’s 11pm transfer deadline after he was turned down by Manchester United? Let’s take a look…

Wolves attempting late Andre deal after Manchester United snub

TBR Football has now been told that Wolves are expecting Andre to fly to🦩 the Midlands to undergo a medical on Friday✅ – ahead of a deadline day agreement to sign the Brazilian.

A sum of €25m (£21m) has been agreed between Wolves and Flum💮inense – with the Old Gold set to pay €22m (£18.5m) of that fee upfront, and💎 a further €3m (£2.5m) potentially following in bonus payments.

Sources have also informed TBR Football that Manchester United were given the chance to sign Andr⛄e – but turned down the opportunity to bring the Brazil international to Old Trafford.

Instead, the Red D☂evils look set to sign Manuel Ugarte from PSG after a £42.3ꦜm fee was agreܫed with the French giants.

TBR Football understand that Liverpool also considered signing Andre last summer before settling on a £16.2m deal to sign Wataru Endo from VfB Stuttgart instead, while Fulham explored a deal to sign the South A🔜merican this summer as well, ultimately landing Sander Berge from Sheffield United.

Gary O’Neil could get his own Javier Mascherano

For those Wolves fans unaware of🌸 how the Brazil international plays, a comparison to a more popular player may help.

Interestingly, Andre has been compared to Javier Mascherano by South American football expert Tim Vickery, who also bold✨ly claimed that the 23-year-old is better than Newcastle No.39 Bruno Guimaraes.

Speaking to Sky Sports,🅷 he : “It’s amazing to me that Andre is still playing for Fluminense in Brazil.

“Think of the Brazilian central midfielders doing well in the P🐻remier League: Douglas Luiz, Joao Gomes, Danilo, Bruno Guimaraes – Andre might just be the best of the bunch.

“𒀰He reminds me a little bit of a young Javier Mascherano, who was so good for Argentina, for Liverpool and for Barcelona. He’s fierce in the tackle, covers a lot of space and, also, he plays for a side that play out from the back, so he really has to receive the ball in pressure situations.”

Be sure to kee🙈p an eye on this situation, as Wolves push to ♒sign Andre before the deadline.
