Why Tottenham striker Harry Kane’s NFL quotes have been overblown
🐠Earlier this week, ESPN ran an extensive on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, with the headline announcing Kane’s brash plan to “conquer” the National Football League.
ꦦThe plan to be an American football kicker took many Spurs fans by surprise, but in reality, Kane’s quotes have been far overblown and Tottenham has nothing to worry about.
ꦦAlthough an elite Premier League striker expressing his desire to switch sports is certainly alarming, Kane told ESPN it is “something that in 10 or 12 years I definitely want to try.”
🔴Obviously, Kane’s American football ambitions will not affect Tottenham in the short term. But one day, the Englishman evidently dreams of transitioning to another sport.

🎐“If you play in the Premier League and the World Cup and you then play in the NFL, would you then be considered one of the greatest sportsmen ever?” Kane went on to tell ESPN.
🐷For now, Tottenham fans must count on Harry Kane to fire them to the next stage of the Champions League and secure a top-four finish.
𓄧But one day, more than a decade from now, Kane could very well be suiting up in the NFL — just not anytime soon.
