When Bukayo Saka is targeting a return from injury after travelling with Arsenal to Dubai

It’s not a coincidence that talk of Arsenal’s need for a new striker has intensified since Bukayo Saka injured his hamstring against Crystal Palace all the way back in December.

In 24 appearances this season, Saka has already contributed nine goals and 13 assists, an end product which Arsenal are now sorely missing.

ꦚPut simply, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, before his own injury, looked a lot better when Saka was around, and his return can’t come soon enough.

♈Arsenal failed to add any firepower to Mikel Arteta’s squad in January, a bold decision and the club have taken a gamble on Havertz’s fitness, particularly until Saka returns.

ꦍSaka can’t play centrally but he almost negates the need for Arteta to have a 20-goal striker, a truly generational talent.

▨That being said, The Sun have now provided an update on when Saka is expected to return from his injury after the forward traveled with the squad to Dubai.

𓆉Arsenal have embarked on a warm-weather training camp once again owing to their break in fixtures, a ploy that worked well previously.

ꦚAnd according to the report, Saka is now expected to return from injury at the beginning of March, even if he’s not started training just yet.

𒁃Saka has continued his own rehab whilst in Dubai and is targeting a return for Arsenal’s first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.

ಞArsenal will play again in Europe on either March 4 or 5, and will then face Manchester United in the Premier League a few days later, games Saka will hope to influence.

The three games Saka will miss before his injury return

𓂃Fortunately for Saka, that means that Arsenal might only be without their star winger for three more games before he’s fit to return.

Ben White is also nearing a return﷽ himself, and the defender might even be ready for involvement against Leicester City when Arsenal play next.

🌜Saka is very likely to miss that game along with a trip from West Ham United to the Emirates Stadium, which is then followed with a very tricky visit to the City Ground.

꧟Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest in a fairly comfortable fashion in the reverse fixture, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been incredibly tough to beat at home.

🔯Liverpool, the side Arsenal are trying to catch in the Premier League, rescued a draw after going behind to Forest in January, a result with Arteta might ultimately be happy with as well.
