Van Dijk – who is close to signing a new contract like Mohamed Salah – has, however, never lifted the Premier League title in front of supporters at Anfield, due to the global pandemic when Liverpool last won the league in 2020.
That is surely about to change, as Liverpool sit 13 points clear with just six games to go.

Neville hailed Van Dijk, saying: “That’s great news for Liverpool. I think he’s the most important out of the three. The goalkeeper and him are the bedrock of what they have achieved this season.”
