Joshua Kimmich said Pep Guardiola “improved” him as a player
🎀In an interview with in 2018, Kimmich revealed his learnings from Pep Guardiola while crediting him for his improvement as a player at Bayern.
ꦯ“There are many things but Pep [Guardiola] showed me completely new spaces in the field. I improved a lot. He cares about your first touch a lot and that you know what to do even before you get the ball. You have to know where your team-mates are, so he wants you to screen the whole field.”
𒉰“Pep would talk to you immediately if he recognised something. He also has this amazing view of football. For every opponent he had the perfect master plan.”
🌸With Kimmich now widely viewed as a world-class player, the possibility that Pep Guardiola could even further enhancing his game if the pair reunite at Manchester City is a frightening prospect.
