What Myles Lewis-Skelly did right after Arsenal’s 4-0 win vs Ipswich Town that shows he’s a class act

Myles Lewis-Skelly came on as a second-half substitute for Arsenal as they vanquished Ipswich Town 4-0 in their latest fixture in the Premier League.

The Arsenal wonderkid’s influence in the first-team is increasingly growing as it was telling that Mikel Arteta decided to rest him with the Gunners set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final in around 10 days.

But even so, Arteta gave Myles Lewis-Skelly more than half an hour during Sunday’s clash.

Lewis-Skelly would have been delighted to witness the likes of Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino shine against Ipswich as Arsenal continued their rich vein of form.

In the aftermath of the contest, Lewis-Skelly and his Arsenal teammates clapped off the travelling fans who came down to Ipswich to watch them put in yet another comprehensive display.

Lewis-Skelly is set to sign a new contract at Arsenal and despite being primed to play for his boyhood club for years, he already seems like a true fan favourite.

So much so that a young Arsenal supporter requested him for his kit and Lewis-Skelly showed he has a heart of gold by obliging after the visitors made light work of Ipswich.

The teenager seems to be a class act on and off the pitch and Mikel Arteta must be proud to work with such a top character at the Emirates Stadium.

What Myles Lewis-Skelly is actually like behind the scenes at Arsenal

Jack Wilshere revealed Lewis-Skelly is a “leader” and his decision to go out of his way to make a young Arsenal fan’s day on their trip to Ipswich is reflective of his mature personality.

“He’s [Lewis-Skelly] the type of person who wants to be in a team, wants to lead, and he has an incredible family around him. That’s important as well, he’d be able to handle that.”

Wilshere added: “Myles is very team-oriented and more of a natural leader. He wants to bring everyone with him whereas Ethan [Nwaneri] is just really driven. He’d come and seek advice from coaches.”

“In the world we live in now, with social media and all these other distractions for players, it’s harder. Some players get distracted but Ethan and Myles were never like that.”
