What Mile Jedinak was spotted doing during Tottenham’s defeat against Chelsea
Tottenham Hotspur coach Mile Jedinak had a fantastic view of an absolutely mad match against Chelsea in the Premier League last night.
from the Daily Mail has shared more behind-the-scenes details from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
After the incredible events that took place in London last night, it’s easy to forget how well Spurs started the match.
Although Dejan Kulusevski’s shot was deflected past Robert Sanchez for the opening goal of the game, the move that created the chance was exceptional.
Son Heung-min nearly doubled their lead after getting on the end of an equally impressive sequence of play but was marginally offside.
The momentum of the game obviously shifted rather quickly after that with Spurs ending the game with nine players.

Mile Jedinak was overseeing the match away from Tottenham’s bench as he looked for a way to play through Chelsea.
His brief changed very quickly after a few rash decisions from his players on the pitch.
Jedinak overseeing Tottenham defeat over Chelsea
from the Daily Mail states that: ‘Tottenham assistant boss Mile Jedinak watched the first half of Monday night’s London derby from the press box.’
They go on to say that Jedinak was communicating with the bench via an earpiece and it would be fascinating to hear what he was saying.
However, unsurprisingly he didn’t return to the press box for the second half as Ange Postecoglou and his coaching team tried to work out how to see out the match with nine players.
Losing Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie was a huge loss alongside the injuries suffered by James Maddison and Micky Van de Ven.
They were indebted to Guglielmo Vicario who kept the scoreline down and he picked out two players in particular for praise after the game.
Jedinak may have been seeing to the Tottenham players on the physio’s bench or having an early shower when he didn’t come out to watch the second half against Chelsea.
He’s taking his first steps into coaching right now and Ange Postecoglou seems to be a fantastic tutor.
However, he’s now about to face his biggest challenge yet as he’ll be missing at least three of his most important players against Wolves on Saturday.
