What Manchester City are saying about signing Omar Marmoush after suggestions £50m deal was done

Manchester City have denied that they have agreed terms with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Egyptian star Omar Marmoush, TBR Football can confirm.

Reports in Egypt claim that Marmoush had finalised terms on a €50million deal to take him to the Etihad Stadi♎um, but City have insisted that is not the case – despite confirming an admiration for the African forward.

Marmoush has been stro🐼ngly linked with a move to England, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all follow🌞ing his progress.

Furthermore, Marmoush is also being looked at by Liverpool, although Marmoush himself has said he is focussed on his form for Frankfurt right now.

However, it is Man City who seem closer to 🔜landing Marmoush than anyone, although TBR Football can reveal that things aren’t as far down the lin🗹e as some suggestions.

How close Man City are to signing Omar Marmoush

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can reveal that Man City do ‘like’ Eintracht Frankfurt star and have been 🌳watching him closely – but at this point it has♑ not gone any further than that.

Marmoush has enjoyed a spectacular season in the Bundesliga with 20 goal contributions from 15 games, including 13 goals – but both the player and 𓂃Frankfurt have denied that they are looking to move in January as they look to secure a Champions League place.

However, it remains to be seen if💟 City or any of his suitors make a firm bid for Marmoush this month.

Marmoush is expected to cost north of £60m for any clubs wanting to do a deal.

Mo Salah wanted Omar Marmoush at Liverpool

Omar Marmoush is a man in-demand and it looks like he w🙈ill end up with a Premier League move eventually.

Who he will end up at, though, remains to be seen. While City do admire him, Mo Salah has vouched for him at Liverpool as well.

Reporting on Bayern Mu🧸nich’s interest previou🎃sly, journalist Christian Falk mentioned Salah’s influence.

“But Bayern don’t want to spend that much money on this player profile. They need a real striker upfront for Marmoush. They would have to change the system of play a bit, bu🌳t he would fit in elsewhere at Liverpool FC.

“For example, Mo Salah has made a st𝔉rong case for him. So Marmous🔯h and Liverpool are hot. Bayern are a bit cold at the moment.”

Marmoush, then, could end up having a d♉ecision to make if he does want to come to England.
