Liverpool offered Trent Alexander-Arnold a historic deal

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has been told that Liverpool offered to make their academy graduate the best paid English player in the entire Premier League in a bid to keep him away from Real Madrid.

We understand the Reds have been kept informed throughout this process, with Alexander-Arnold, who Barcelona also wanted, n🦂or Real Madrid going behind Liverpool’s back in any sense.

TBR Football are aܫware Liverpool left their record-breaking contract offer on the table in the event of the 26-year-old deciding to stay at Anfield, although that does not seem to be happening.

An agreement between Alexander-Arnold and Real M🅷adrid is believed to be complete, with aꦿll parties simply agreeing not to go public onﷺ the matter until this summer.

What has Trent Alexander-Arnold said about his future?

Speaking back in September⛄, the man from West Derby effectively told everybody how this situation would play out – mostly in the s𝐆hadows.

Alexander-Arnold told The Ath🌟letic: “Look, I have been at the club 20 years now. I have signed four or five contract extensions and none of those have been played out in public. This one won’t be either.

“The most important thing is trophies. I want to win trophies. I’m a player who 🌳is highly motivated by winning things and being elite. That’s probably the main factor of anything. If you have a personality that’s elite, who wants to win and will do anything to win, then that’s what drives them.”

TBR Football understand Arne Slot wants Jeremie Frimpong as a replacement for Alexander-Arnold.
