What ‘everyone’ at Tottenham keeps saying about Archie Gray after his move from Leeds United
Archie Gray arrived at Tottenham earlier this summer as one of the biggest signings of the transfer window.
The midfielder joined Spurs for £40m from Leeds, and it’s fair to say there’s a fair amount of expectation attached to the teenager.
It’s early days for the youngster, but Gray is already being tipped for big things at Tottenham.
Speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Charlie Eccleshare has shared some insight into Gray from his sources in football.
The journalist spoke about Gray’s arrival at Tottenham, and he says that everyone he has spoken to about this young man has had nothing but good things to say about the former Leeds man’s ability and his potential.
What everyone has been saying about Archie Gray
Eccleshare shared what he’s been hearing about the midfielder.
“It makes the club a more attractive place to go to for young players, Archie Gray, the last year or so, everyone I have spoken to about him has just gushed about how good he is and how good he could be. He’s definitely a really exciting one,” Eccleshare said.
Archie Gray could have a big season
It seems as though everyone in the game is really big on Gray, and there’s reason to believe he could have a big season.
Indeed, Darren Ambrose recently stated that he thinks Gray could go straight into the Tottenham XI.
“Outstanding signing. Absolutely outstanding. 18, I think he is now, still really, really young. Outstanding talent. He goes straight into the starting XI for me at Spurs,” Ambrose said.
To be spoken about like this at the age of 18 is incredible, and even if Gray doesn’t make a breakthrough at Tottenham this year, realistically, he might have another 20 years ahead of him to make his mark.
This young man looks like a special talent, and there’s plenty of reason to be excited about his ability.
