West Ham fans send clear Niclas Fullkrug message after dismal Southampton draw
West Ham United flattered to deceive once again as they drew 1-1 with Southampton in Saturday’s Premier League meeting at the London Stadium.
West Ham struggled in the first half, though they took the lead through Jarrod Bowen early on in the second half and could’ve had another.
However, Graham Potter then went to a back five and made defensive substitutions in order to hold on to the 1-0 lead against the already-relegated Saints.
This backfired as Southampton equalised in second-half injury time, Lesley Ugochukwu volleying home in off the post, much to the dismay of the home crowd.
There were some positives in the game, not least Niclas Fullkrug’s display, which led to a number of West Ham fans discussing his future.
