West Ham fans say player with just five Premier League starts this season was ‘unreal’ against Leicester

West Ham United have pulled themselves further away from the Premier League’s bottom three thanks to a 2-0 win over struggling Leicester City on Thursday night.

The Hammers broke the deadlock in the 21st minute when Tomas Soucek fired in o🔯n the rebound after Mads Hermansen kept out Moh𝐆ammed Kudus’ effort.

West Ham then doubled their lead two minu🌱tes before the break through Jannik Vestergaard’s own goal, which came ab♋out following great work from Jarrod Bowen.

Hammers fans were buzzඣing after the game and they were eager to praise a player who is back in the fold after being 𝄹frozen out under Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham fans wowed by Aaron Cresswell display against Leicester

The player in question is Aaron Cresswell, who was barely in the picture under Lopetegui but is now a regular under Graham Potter.

Cresswell made his fir🦄st Premier League start of the season in the loss to Crystal Palace and is now on five league starts including the Leicester game.

The 35-year-old has been featuring at centre-back for the Hammers and has been working well alongside young left wing-back Olꦯlie Scarles.

West Ham fans loved what they saw from Cresswell,🧸 w🍬ith one writing on X: “Cresswell looks like a new signing. Potter has made Cresswell look like a natural CB.”

Another said: “Cresswell has a bit of♉ that 2014-15 swagger. Nice to see from the legend. Back in the da✃ys, his name was a lock in the starting line-up. Etched and embossed.”

The praise kept coming, with one supporter writing: “Cress🔯well man he’s just so strong as an LCB.”

How Aaron Cresswell fared for West Ham against Leicester

Cresswell was in inspꦍired form aga🌱inst Leicester, clocking up many great stats including some staggering ones.

For instance, he took 137 touches of the ball, and completed 102 passes. He also made two key passes, created two big chances, and was accurate🦩 with 10 of his deliveries.

Cresswell also did his bit defensively, registering four𒀰 interceptions, two clearances, one tackle and one block.

Potter deserves huge cr𓆉edit for giving Cresswell a chance and the player deserves huge credit for taking it.
