Virgil van Dijk says Liverpool have an ‘amazing’ player who’s improved so much

Liverpool couldn’t have asked for a better start to the Arne Slot era.

The Reds are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League at the moment, and the scary thing is, they’ve been doing this without many of theirও first-team players.

Indeed, Liverpool have a number of injuries to first-team players aꦑ♒t the moment.

Liverpool have been dominating the Premier League without a lot of their key players, and perhaps the most notable absentee is Alisson.

Alisson is the best goalkeeper in the world in th♕e eyes of many, and his absence could’ve been a disaster for the Reds.

However, Caoimhin Kelleher has seriously stepped up in recent weeks, and speaking to Off The Ball, Virgil van Dijk has been full of praise for the Irishman.

Virgil van Dijk praises Caoimhin Kelleher

Van Dijk spoke highly of Kelleher and how muchಞ he has improved recently.

The centre-back says that Kelleher has ꦐbeen outstanding this season, noting that he’s come a long way since his debut for the club.

“Yeah no, a fantastic goalkeeper, a fanꦓtastic human being. It’s never easy to be a backup goalkeeper, but he has an unbelꩲievably amazing goalkeeper ahead of him.

“The time he’s been playing he’s been absolutely outstanding. I enjoy seeing how much he’s improved and playing with c💦onfidence. I remember one of his first games, he won us a penalty shootout, he’s come a long way as well and he’s an amazing goalkeeper.”

Is Caoimhin Kelleher leaving Liverpool?

Kelleher is in the form of his life at the moment for Liverpool, but, sadly, the Irishman may not be at Anfield🍸 for much longer.

Indeed, Kelleher is unhappy about being second-choice, and Liverpool do plan to sell him next summer.

Liverpool’🎶s record when Kelleher has played this season has been incredible, but they do still 🍨plan to cash in next summer.

Gi🅷orgi Mamardashvili i𒅌s coming in at the end of the season, and the Georgian is likely to act as a replacement for Kelleher in that number two role.

Mamardashvili is seen as having huge potential at Anfield, and, while🐬 it’s a tough ask, he could eventually end up being better than Kelleher.

Of course, there will be no shortage of clubs who w🎉ill be after Kelleher amid his remarkable form.

Kelleher has been touted for a move to Bayern Mꦕunich at one poi♊nt recently, so perhaps a move to an elite European club could even be on the cards.
