Viktor Gyokeres’ wonderful start to 2025 amid links with Arsenal and other Premier League giants
Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are just some of the Premier League clubs currently eyeing Sporting CP superstar Viktor Gyokeres.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey previously confirmed that Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all very much in the mix for the Swede.
Liverpool and Newcastle United have also been following Gyokeres closely in wake of his hero♐ics for the💙 Portuguese giants since his move in 2023.
The 26-year-old has very much picked up from where he left off in 2024 as he shone in Sporting’s first match of the new yea🐬r.

Viktor Gyokeres scores hat-trick in Sporting CP draw at Vitoria SC
On Friday night, Gyokeres helped his side avoid defeat at Vitoria SC thanks to a hat-trick in a thrilling 4-4 draw 𒅌in Guimaraes.
The reported Arsenal, Chelsea, M🀅an United and Liverpool target opened thܫe scoring with a clinical effort in the box in the second minute.
Vitoria’s Tiago Silva equalised with aꦆ seventh-minute free kick, Gyokeres made it 2-1 just seven minutes later with an effort from outside the box.
Gyokeres then wrapped up his hat-trick with a neat poacher’s effort i🧔n the 57th minute of the match at the Estadio Dom Afonso Rodrigues.
However, Sporting then capitulated as Kaio Cesar, Joao Sa😼bino Mendes and Dieu-Merci Ndembo-Michel all struck to put Vitoria 4-3 up.
Spor𒁃ting managed to grab a point in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time, thanks to Francisco Trincao’s side-footed curl from just ins🌜ide the box.
Gyokeres keeps himself firmly in the shop window
Gyokeres was very close to joining♑ the likes of Gareth Bale, Ferenc Puskas and Ronaldo in the club of players who scored a hat✃-trick yet ended up on the losing side.
🤪However, ⛦Trincao’s superb late equaliser was enough for Sporting to claim a draw, which keeps them a point ahead of second-placed Porto, who have a game in hand.
Once again, Gyokeres showed that he ticks virtually all the boxes t🦹o be a superb No. 9 in the Premier League.
Strong, quick, and a lethal finisher with both feet, the £67million-rated Gyokeres looks destined for a big move at some point.
Although Gyokeres seems unlikely to🗹 move in January, it will be interesting to see what happens in the summer transfer window.
