Victor Anichebe reacts as Ellis Simms leaves Everton to join Sunderland on loan
Former Sunderland and Everton forward Victor Anichebe has commented on Instagram after Ellis Simms’ loan move between two of his former clubs.

When posting the news on his Instagram, ꧙Anichebe was among a number ꧃of players and fans to congratulate Simms, saying:

“Congrats bro! 🔯Going from one great club to another! They will love you there…let’s go”
.
The 34-year-old Anichebe, who retired in 2018,꧟ is particularly well regarded by fans from the blue half of Merseyside.
After coming through Everton’s academy, Anichebe went onꦆ to make 167 appearances under David Moyes at Goodison Park, scoring 26 go♍als.
Ellis Simms joins Sunderland on loan from Everton
Simms’ move to the Stadium of Light is the third loan move of his career, after previous spells at Blackp▨ool and♒ Hearts.
The forward joined the Scottish side in January 2022, when more than 30 clubs we❀re reportedly interested in securing his servic♔es.

Simms has made a single senior appearance for Eve✃rton since joining from Manchester City’s academy in 2017, when he started against Chelsea in a 1-1 draw ﷺat Stamford Bridge last season.
He will be hoping to improve on Anichebe’s record at Sunderland, when the Nigerian ✱international managed just🌼 three league goals during his season on Wearside.
Simms is not the only player from a Premier League side to join Alex Neil’s men in this window, with Spurs’ forgotten man Jack C🔯larke making a permanent move ♈this month.
