‘Very good trainer’… Journalist has heard £75k-a-week Spurs player is brilliant in training

Fraser Forster is far from being the most important player at Tottenham.

The former England international is Spurs’ second-string goalkeeper, and, to be honest, he’s unlikely to play between now and the end of the season barring an injury to Guglielmo Vicario.

However, the role of a second-choice goalkeeper can still be important. We’ve already heard how good Forster is in the dressing room, and apparently, he’s also fantastic in training.

Indeed, speaking on , Tom Allnutt has been discussing Forster’s role at Tottenham and his future, and he says that he’s heard that he’s a very good trainer behind the scenes at Hotspur Way.

Fraser Forster is a good trainer

Allnutt shared what he knows about the goalkeeper.

“For me I think Forster is a very good backup goalkeeper. He’s apparently a very good trainer, a good guy to have around, I don’t think he’s that bothered about playing in the first-team, for me he’s ideal,’ Allnutt said.

Doing his bit

The goalkeeper may not be playing a huge part on the pitch at Spurs right now, but it sounds as though he is doing his best behind the scenes.

Forster is putting in the work on the training ground. He’s pushing Guglielmo Vicario as hard as he can and he’s keeping the Italian honest.

That’s pretty much all you can ask Forster to do as a second-choice.

Next season, should Spurs qualify for the Champions League and go on a cup run, Forster may have more of a role to play in terms of rotating with Vicario, but, for now, his only job is to train hard and be a good role model behind the scenes.
