Unai Emery personally told Monchi and Vidagany to sign £5m star for Aston Villa

Aston Villa made a lot of signings in the summer transfer window and one of them was personally asked for by Unai Emery.

Unai Emery has completely transformed things for Aston Villa as they now fin🎐d themselves playing Champions League football.

The Villans have won their last five games in all competitions and don’t look like slowing down anytime soon, with a trip to face Ipswich Town up next🎉.

In terms of star performers, Morgan Rogers was praised by Rio Ferdinand for his performance against Young Boys recently, and Cole Palmer even sent Rogers a message on Instagram.

It’s good to see so many newer players doing well at Aston Villa, and it appears as if one of them in par❀ticular was personally requested by Unai Emery.

Aston Villa▨ signed eight players for a combined total oꦑf well over £100 million, with the two major ones being Ian Maatsen and Amadou Onana.

The oldest of the players who joined was Ross Barkley, who is currently 30 years of age. Other than that, the second oldest signing was Enzo 🃏Barrenechea at 23.

Interestingly, of all the s🥀ignings that Aston Villa made, it was one of the cheapest ones that Unai Emery personally requested.

Ross Barkley’s performance in numbers this season

Ross Barkley hasn’t been able 🌸to nail down a permanent spot in the side but he’s looked bright when calledﷺ upon by Unai Emery.

The En▨glishman has appeared six times for the first-tea🍷m, which includes a start most recently against Wycombe Wanderers in the Carabao Cup.

He hasn’t quite been given the chance to replicate the form he showed at Luton Town last season, wh﷽en he scored five goals and assisted six as a dominant force in their midfield.

But, he has the experience and the m⛦agic to create something out of nothing when Emery really needs it.

Amadou Onana‘s signing was always going to make it difficult for Barkley to secure a permanent place in the side with Youri Tielemans already there.
