Tottenham in contact with ‘incredible’ £35m Ligue 1 player
Tottenham Hotspur are apparently back involved in the mix to sign French defender, Jean-Clair Todibo.
The Nice star was one of the first names to emerge as a target for Spurs when the window opened a few weeks ago. However, since then things have gone quiet and Tottenham instead moved to sign Radu Dragusin.
But according to a new report today, things might not be quite over when it comes to Tottenham and Todibo.
Tottenham in contact over signing Jean-Clair Todibo
According to a report from – relayed from– both Tottenham and Chelsea are back involved in the race to sign Todibo from Nice.
It’s claimed that there has been contact from the Tottenham end with Todibo and that talks have apparently been held recently over doing a deal.

Of course, Tottenham’s addition of Dragusin this month means any deal for Todibo is surely for the summer.
But with clubs scrambling to get business done with less than ten days to go until the January window closes, Todibo could be a man in-demand.
Quite whether Tottenham will make a renewed bid, remains to be seen. But it’s clear they still like Todibo and his name is not going away.
Unlikely signing
This would be a very strange call from Tottenham to finally make a concrete move for Todibo and get it done.
Reports had suggested before that Spurs had bad messages from the start about signing Todibo so to see them come back now after landing Dragusin would be odd.
Further, it would mean they also have four central defenders who would all feel they should be starting.
At the moment, that’s a problem Ange Postecoglou doesn’t need.
This one, then, can probably be put to the bottom of the pile in terms of deals getting done by next week.
