Tottenham fans will love what Will Lankshear did right after he scored his goal vs Hearts
Will Lankshear may have become an even bigger fan favourite at Tottenham Hotspur than he already was.
The teenager is one of Spurs’ brightest young talents, and many feel Lankshear has what it takes to become the next Harry Kane at the club.
Ange Postecoglou gave Lankshear a few minutes in the friendly against Hearts in Edinburgh on Wednesday night, and the youngster did not disappoint.
He scored a lovely goal and has definitely increased his chances of getting more minutes in Tottenham’s upcoming pre-season games.
What Will Lankshear did in front of Tottenham fans after scoring vs Hearts
Lankshear signed a new Tottenham contract earlier in July.
The 19-year-old has been tied down to a deal until the summer of 2029, which shows that Postecoglou and his coaches have real faith in his ability.
Lankshear was unbelievable for Tottenham’s U21s side in the 2023/24 season. He scored 25 goals in 26 games and was one of their best players.
Everybody at Spurs believes that Lankshear has a massive future ahead of him, and Postecoglou decided to give him a few minutes against Hearts on Wednesday night.
The teenager came on at half-time and scored within 10 minutes. It was a lovely finish following a brilliant through ball by Djed Spence.
Right after scoring, Lankshear ran over to the Tottenham fans and kissed the badge on his shirt before celebrating in front of the away end.
Tottenham fans loved Lankshear’s performance against Hearts, and we’re sure they’ll love the picture of him kissing the Spurs badge even more.

Lankshear may have climbed above two other Tottenham strikers
Tottenham have a fantastic group of young players coming through the ranks.
All eyes are on Postecoglou bringing in new signings, but the academy could offer some brilliant internal solutions as well.
Lankshear is definitely one who could get some minutes in the first team next season if he isn’t loaned out, and he has put himself in a better position than two other young Tottenham strikers – Alejo Veliz and Dane Scarlett.
The fact that Postecoglou brought Lankshear on before the other two against Hearts is quite telling, and we think the 19-year-old is ahead of Veliz and Scarlett in the pecking order now.
Lankshear’s chances will further increase if he keeps producing the goods in the upcoming pre-season games.
