Tottenham fans are all making the same point about Lucas Bergvall after beating AZ to reach Europa League quarter-finals

Tottenham Hotspur are through to the Europa League quarter-finals after beating AZ Alkmaar 3-2 on aggregate.

Spurs lost 1-0 in the last-16 first leg last week but didn’t take long to cancel out the visitors’ advantage at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadi꧑um.

Wilson Odobert opened the scoring on 26 minutes before James Maddison put Tottenham 2-0 up on 🔯the night – and 2-1 up on aggregate – on 48 minutes.

And though Peer Koopmeiners levelled the tie on aggregate in the 63rd min🀅ute, Odobert’s second of the night on 74 minutes wasꦿ enough to see Spurs through.

Tottenham fans had a lot to say about their players during and after the Europa League game, with Lucas Bergvall being the subject of a fair few comments.

Tottenham fans delighted with Lucas Bergvall display against AZ

Spurs fans were buzzing with Bergvall’s display against AZ and, even though he made a mistake which led to the visitors’ ✱goal, they didn’t let it bother them.

“Bergಌvall is such an intelligent player, his anticipation is brilliant, wise beyond his years,”ꦐ one fan wrote on X.

“H🐓appy to take a couple of mistakes to see him develop into a future star.”

Another said: “What an incredible performance from Bergvall. One mistake unfortunat♓💝ely but flawless otherwise.”

The praise for Bergvall kept coming, with one fan saying: “Wherever Lucas Bergvall goes, Tottenham will follow. Foundational💫 player. Generational talent.”

Another wrote: “Lucas Bergvall. Just sensational. He w𝔉as raw at the start o💫f the season, clearly had talent, but he’s developed SO fast!”

Another said: “Bergvall down with a cramp. He’s ran his socks off today. Gotta give him his props despite the costly mistake leadingꦗ to a goal.”

One supporter added: “Ye🧔s! Never do it the easy way but we’re in the next round. 🔯I know he made the mistake but Bergvall covered every inch of the pitch tonight.

Bergvall clocked up some impressi🔯ve stats against AZ, showing just how much he’s developing at Spurs and how bright his future will be.

He won all seven of his gr🎐ound duels, made five interceptions and two tackles, won two fouls, and completed a𓂃ll three of his dribbles.

In addition, Bergvall was accurate with his passing, complet✨ing 44 of his 48 passes for an accuracy of 92 percent.

Indeed, Bergvall got a standing ovation when he came off with six minutes to go due to cramp, so impressive was hꦓis performance in the eyes of the Spurs faithful.
