Tottenham could now look to make a move for 24-year-old this summer
Tottenham Hotspur could look to make a fresh move for Jean-Clair Todibo in the summer transfer window rather than target an offer in the final week of January.
For some time ahead of the window, it appeared that Jean-Clair Todibo could be the man to come in to strengthen Ange Postecoglou’s options at the heart of the defence. Of course, Spurs have had to deal without Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero due to injury at various stages this season.
At one stage, Tottenham believed that Todibo was interested in joining. However, ultimately, Radu Dragusin proved to be the centre-back Spurs signed.
Tottenham could reignite Jean-Clair Todibo interest this summer
It was a coup to get the Romanian with Bayern Munich also eyeing Dragusin. But it appears that Tottenham’s interest in Todibo has not gone entirely.

Reports this week claimed that Spurs remain keen on Todibo. However, it appears that any bid is now likely to come in the summer.
According to a report from , Tottenham have no plans to make a fresh offer for Todibo before next week’s deadline. Instead, they could look to make a move at the end of the season if they want to sign another defender.
Spurs could have an amazing group of defenders at their disposal
It would be quite something if Tottenham put together a group of centre-backs consisting of van de Ven, Romero, Todibo and Dragusin.
Van de Ven has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League this season. Meanwhile, Romero’s potential is obvious. Of course, he is a World Cup winner.
And if Postecoglou can add Todibo to his options, they would have a phenomenal array of talent at their disposal. But clearly, Nice are not going to let him go on the cheap.
Todibo will perhaps be a name to keep an eye on if it becomes apparent that Tottenham are eyeing another centre-back towards the end of the campaign.
