Report: Tottenham have now been offered ‘fantastic’ Champions League winner as Paratici gets desperate

Tottenham Hotspur are becoming increasingly desperate in their bid to land new faces before Monday, and according to , are among a host of clubs to have been offered Alvaro Morata on loan.

has reported how Morata has been offered up to a number of clubs, with Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle among the teams touted. Morata is currently on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid, but the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic will have shunted him further down the pecking order in Turin.

For Tottenham, time is running out in their search for new faces before the transfer window slams shut on Monday. A number of players have been close to arriving, only for the chance to slip by. Adama Traore and Luis Diaz, just two names in that bracket.

Transfer guru Fabio Paratici is getting increasingly anxious about not being able to land anyone for Antonio Conte before the deadline passes. A deal for another Juventus player, Dejan Kulusevski, is said to be in place. But as Spurs fans have seen already, nothing will be celebrated until an official announcement is made.

Morata, who was ‘fantastic’ by current Spurs boss Antonio Conte previously, has played in England already with Chelsea. However, his spell with the Blues was a poor one, with Morata scoring just times at The Bridge.

TBR’s View: Morata Nothing But A Stop Gap For Tottenham

With all due respect to the Spaniard, his best days are probably behind him now. He’s gone for mega money and never quite lived up to the expectations on him. His time at Chelsea was inconsistent at best.

If Paratici does deliver Morata, then it would feel very much like a short-term, stop-gap signing. Yes, he can offer competition for Harry Kane, but Tottenham needed more this window.

Ultimately, the pressure is on Paratici right now.
