‘To be honest’… Willie Miller shares intriguing view on Celtic’s performances compared to Rangers this season

The narrative surrounding Celtic and Rangers this season took a turn when Philippe Clement was hired by the Ibrox club.

Rangers were struggling whilst Celtic were flying high at ♎🌊the top of the league when the Belgian took over.

Now, about 20 games into Clement’s reign, Celtic are said to be struggling whilst Rangers are on the ascendancy. It’s a view shared by🔯 many, especially in the Scottish media but Willie Miller has challenged that ܫwith a refreshing take on how the big two are doing.

Miller said [], “Celtic hav⛦en’t looked a happy team for꧅ most of the season, to be honest. There’s no doubt that there’s quality.

“They’ve got a lot of injuries and players ♔away on international duty as well. But I’ve watched them at time♐s and I’m just thinking that they lack that tempo at times to really put the sword in when they’re on top and some of their performances have been a little bit lacklustre.

“But you can say🎐 that about Rangers as well. I think, Philippe Clement is certainly top of the league in terms of the results, but I’m not sureౠ about performances.

“I actually think with both clubs the level of performances have dipped a bit, particularly Celtic. I think Celtic more than Rangers and Rangers have ꧅made up🌊 that ground.”

Whilst you can’t d🃏eny that Celtic have struggled to be at their best, Rangers are no different. Clement has been getting better results but, unlike Celtic, the Ibrox gaffer has his team better at grinding out the difficult ones.

Celtic have huffed and puffed this season but ultimately have dropped more points. Rangers, at times, have also struggled but what Clement has done is instil a bit more belief in his players that they can dig a bit deeper to get t🅠he result.

That is what’s unusually missing from Celtic this season. If Rodgers can find that, and a cutting edge, there is no doubt the title will be heading back to Celtic♔ Park.

And the fans will be hopinဣg that it starts tonight against Hibs at Easter Road.
