Title-winners now keen to sign ‘magnificent’ Tottenham star – journalist
Alex Crook that Atletico Madrid are very much in the frame to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham Hotspur, with the midfielder preferring to move to Spain should he leave this month.

He is Spurs’ record signing. And he is one of the highest earners in North London. So finding someone to take Ndombele in any capacity may be difficult.
The good news is that Italy is not the only country showing interest. Crook has claimed that Atletico are also in the running. And he added that Ndombele would be very much open to heading to La Liga.

Of course, it would be asking a lot of any club for them to make a move to sign him permanently this month. Tottenham will surely want to recoup a large portion of what they paid Lyon for Ndombele.
But Atletico are one side who would have the means to put together a significant loan offer. They are prepared to part with .
Atleti have struggled as they look to defend their La Liga title. They sit 16 points off the summit in fourth. So Diego Simeone may be tempted to try and bring a marquee name to the club before the window shuts.
