Timo Werner says he really likes Tottenham player Ange Postecoglou has only used once

Timo Werner has shared the Tottenham player he finds funniest since arriving on loan from RB Leipzig in January.

The German made the comments when speaking to the Premier League’s official YouTube channel.

So, who did Timo Werner choose as his funniest Tottenham teammate? Let’s take a look…

Timo Werner names funniest Tottenham teammate

Well, the 28-year-old actually named two players.

Werner revealed he finds Fraser Forster – who has made just appearance under Ange Postecoglou – the most hilarious in terms of jokes, but feels Emerson Royal is the funniest regarding his general demeanour.

The Tottenham No.16 : “I love a lot about Fraser Forster and his jokes, but in terms of funny actions, I think Emerson Royal.”

In naming Forster, Werner has actually echoed Micky van de Ven’s comments on the England international, who is clearly a very popular man behind the scenes.

Despite a lack of game time while playing second fiddle to Guglielmo Vicario, the Tottenham No.20 is clearly keeping himself in good spirits around Hotspur Way, and also enhancing the mood of his teammates.

Some may call Forster a manager’s dream in that respect, and we’re sure Postecoglou is delighted with his No.2’s attitude.

Fraser Forster impressing

Not only is Forster making his teammates laugh, but he is also impressing Postecoglou’s staff in training – according to Tom Allnutt.

The journalist The Tottenham Way Podcast: “I think Forster is a very good backup goalkeeper. He’s apparently a very good trainer, a good guy to have around, I don’t think he’s that bothered about playing in the first-team, for me he’s ideal.

That is exactly what you want from a backup goalkeeper, rather than someone who is going to kick up a fuss over a lack of playing time.

Hopefully, Forster’s recovery from injury goes well, and he can return to the bench soon.
