Tim Sherwood thinks Manchester United man won’t be at Old Trafford next term
Tim Sherwood believes that the Manchester United hierarchy have already made a decision to get rid of one figure at the end of the season.
Manchester United saw their five-match winning run come to an end at the hands of Fulham at the weekend. It was a result which reminded everyone of just how much works lies ahead at Old Trafford, despite the optimism over the arrival of INEOS.
Jamie Carragher criticised Manchester United’s defending, claiming that what they are trying to do – by attempting a high press and a low defensive line – is impossible.
Tim Sherwood thinks Manchester United have already decided to get rid of Erik ten Hag this summer
Some would be surprised if ten Hag remained at Old Trafford next season. And Tim Sherwood has gone one step further, suggesting on the podcast that he believes that the United hierarchy have already decided that he will not be their manager next year.

“I think Manchester United have made their decision on their manager, whatever happens between now and the end of the season,” he said.
“He’s going to go, isn’t he. He’s had two years of it. He’s not improved anyone. They’re in a desperate position in the league. And I think they will get rid of him and make a decision.”
Potential manager change won’t solve everything
It should be noted that David Ornstein recently suggested that INEOS had been impressed by ten Hag. So perhaps he does still have an opportunity to prove to Sir Jim Ratcliffe that he is the right man to take the club forward.
Manchester United fans have seen several managers come and go over the last decade. They have gone down several different routes and they are yet to find that successful formula.
So getting rid of ten Hag would not necessarily mark the start of a brighter dawn. There is so much which needs to change.
Some, including Sherwood, may think ten Hag is one of those who cannot stay much longer.
