Thierry Henry shares what Louis Saha privately told him about Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo’s first stint with Manchester United will remain etched in the memory of the Old Trafford faithful for decades to come.
Signed as a fresh-faced teenager from𝕴 Sporting CP by Sir Alex Ferguson, the Portuguese international became𒆙 a global superstar at the Theatre of Dreams and broke records aplenty before moving to Real Madrid.
Ronaldo remains the last Premier League player to win the Ballꦏon d’Or and returned to Old Tr🍸afford in 2021 before moving to Al-Nassr in January 2023.
And Thierry Henry has shared what he heard about the Portuguese great from Louis Saha, who played with Ronaldo at Manchester United.
Cristiano Ronaldo was always tipped for greatness at Manchester United

Manchester United parted with around £12m to sign Ronaldo in 2003, which at the time was the highest fee for a teenager in th♛e history of the game.
The Portuguese youngster quickly showed glimpses of🌟 his potential and took his game to another level during his six-year spell at Old Trafford, winning eight major trophi🎃es.
Saha also played for Manchester United in that period and was teammates withౠ Ronald𒐪o for four seasons before moving to Everton in 2008.
Henry – who was teammates with Saha for France – lavished praise on Ronaldo’s work ethic,ܫ adding that Saha tipped him for greatness after watching him from close quarters at Manchester United.
“It w🦂as easy to see even at the youth level,” said Henry ཧon MNF.
“I saw him play ag🅠ainst France U-19 or something like that. Quaresma was on the right and he was on the left and people were talking a bit more about Quaresma than him.
“What I’ll give him a lot of credit for besides his quality is the work ethic. He’s still playing, running and making 🅠a difference. You look at his body and it’s better than when he was younger!
“I remember Louis Saha saying to me that this g𓆏uy was going to be the best in the world when he was playing for Manchester United. I went really?’ and he told me his work ethic was second to none. The sky is the limit and he did prove it.”
