There’s a growing feeling that £45m Arsenal player is going to leave the Emirates at the end of the season
Thomas Partey is out of contract with Arsenal at the end of the season and the latest on the midfielder potentially getting a new deal has just been clarified.
Arsenal pushing to appoint Andrea Berta, who knows Partey well﷽ from their time together at Atletico Madrid when the sporting director signed him in 2020.
😼At this stage, there seems to be nothing imminent in terms of a renewal and given it is now March, it feels like the Ghanaian could leave the Emirates Stadium.
𒉰Recent reports suggest Partey has held talks and one of Arsenal’s top journalists has just provided the latest on the 31-year-old’s situation.

Thomas Partey is not expecting Arsenal to offer him a new contract
Thomas Partey🍒 is not expecting Arsenal to offer him a new contract and if they do, it is likely to be on significantly reduced terms, according to Charles Watts.
He has remained a key player for Mikel Arteta’s team this season, however, Arsenal are working to sign Martin Zubimendi.
🌠Watts told his YouTube channel: “There have been reports that maybe Arsenal have been in talks with Thomas Partey about an extra year, my understanding is that it is not the case.
𒁃“There have been no talks between Arsenal and Thomas Partey yet anyway about a contract, at the moment, the likelihood is that Thomas Partey is going to go at the end of the season.
🌱“There is a growing sense around his camp that a contract offer is not going to be on the table and if it is, it’s not going to be comparable to what he is on now at Arsenal.”
Where could Thomas Partey move to after leaving Arsenal?
꧂Partey, who cost Arsenal , is understood to favour a move back to Spain, where he has interest from Barcelona, but they are not the only club who are looking at him.
💙Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the player who could be a great pick up on a free transfer.
🐠“There is interest in Thomas Partey from elsewhere, Barcelona are interested in Thomas Partey, PSG and Juventus hold an interest,” added Watts.
🔯“As far as I am aware, his preference potentially if he leaves Arsenal is that he would favour a return to Spain where he was at Atletico.”
