The three changes Marcelo Bielsa has to make to his Leeds side to face QPR

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has told his press conference ahead of Saturday’s clash against QPR that Pablo Hernandez is fit again to play, but Patrick Bamford, Gjanni Alioski an🌠d Barry Douglas could all miss the match after picking up knock𝔍s.

Liam Cooper and Jamie Shackleton played for the Under-2ꦏ3’s on Monday and are fit, but Adam Forshaw will definitely miss the QPR game. Bamford, Alioski and Douglas are doubts. Here are three changes Bielsa should make to his side:

Cooper returns, Berardi relegated to the bench

That is no slight on Gaetano Berardi. The former Sampdoria defend♔er has been excellent at centre-back, helping Leeds keep a clean sheet against Sheffield Wed🌜nesday. But Cooper is arguably one of Leeds’ most important players right now.

The skipper formed an excellent partnership with Ben White in the early stages of the season and he should come back into the starting line-up on Sa🐓turday, with Leeds expected to beat QPR after Mark Warburton’s side lost to Brentford on Monday.

Helder Costa has been excellent on the right flank in Hernandez’s place. The Portugal international retain his place, as should Jack Harris𝓀on who has worked incredibly hard over the last few outings. Stuart Dallas, though, is not a central midfielder.

It should see £1.3million signing () Dallas lose his place in midfield, and Hernandez partner Matuesz Klich. With both Alioski and🔥 Douglas struggling, Dallas should drop back to the left side of the defence. Hernandez in for Alioski, then.

A long time coming; Nketiah for Bamford

Still, the Arsenal loanee is yet to start in the league for Leeds. But with Bamford now suffering a knock, and coming off at half-time againsꩵt the Owls last time out, surely this is the time for Nketiah to finally get the nod up front.

Nketiah for Bamford, then, is the third change that Bielsa should make. If he does, Leeds will line-up: Kiko Casilla; Luke Ayling, Cooper, White, Dallas; Kalvin P🐟hillips; Costa, Klich, Hernandez, Harrison; Nketiah.
