TBR View: Leeds should attempt to replicate Tyler Roberts move with Tyrese Campbell
If you ask the large majority of Leeds United supporters what player they want the club to sign in the final days of the transfer window, they will surely say – with little hesitation – a new striker.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have so far𒊎 been unsuccessful in their attempts to replace Eddie Nketiah. that Leeds have had three bids for Che Adams rejected by Southampton.

It remains to be seen what the Whites could have up their sleeve in the remaining days of the window. But there is surely no doubt that they cannot afford to let the deadline pass wi▨ꦡthout signing another goalscorer.
And perhaps they should consider a move to sign Stoke City youngster Tyrese Campbell in a move that may prove somewhat reminiscent of Tyler Roberts’s switch to El♏land Road two years ago.

Roberts joಞined Leeds on the final day of the 2018 January transfer window for £2.5 million (), with the Whites capitalising on the forward’s contract situation at West Brom.
, Roberts had entered the final six months of his deal with the Baggies. And that seemingly o🥂pened the door for Leeds to make an offer that they could not refuse with a potential free transfer a possibility further down the line.
It has not always been the easiest time for the Wales international. He has ♑struggled with injury during his time with Leeds. But there have been gli♉mpses of his quality, with four goals and five assists coming in the Championship so far.
Should he manage to put his injury issues behind him, he could be a devastating option for M🍬arcelo 🌊Bielsa to have available to him in the final months of the season.
And the quality that he has s꧅hown when he has been available should💜 perhaps help tempt Leeds to take a gamble on Campbell this month.
Like Roberts t🌃wo years ago, Campbell’s contract expire🔯s this summer (via ). And there are no shortage of admirers.
The Dail💎y Record reports that the likes of Sheffield United and Rangers want the 20-y✅ear-old.
Campbell has shown what he can do at Championsh🍌ip level. He has scored five league goals this season, including the winner at Roberts’s old club and ꦉLeeds’s promotion rivals West Brom on Monday.
Some fans may, understandably, groan about the prospect of signing an unproven youngster. Ideally, Bielsa will add an established goalscorer heading into their peak🌱 years to see Leeds across the line in the promotion race.
But Campbell ꧅is showing signs that he has the potential to be a very good player. , he averages a l♐eague goal every 134.6 minutes this season.
And with his contract situation likely to make it difficult for Stoke to demand an eye-watering sum, perhaps Leeds should make a move before the window shu🅘ts.
