Tammy Abraham’s prolific form shows West Ham chose wrong striker this summer

West Ham have struggled for goals this season, despite moving to bring in Lucas Perez on ﷽loan from Arsenal whilst also welcoming back Andy Carroll from injury. Instead, they should have signed Tammy Abraham from Chelsea.

In the summer,  claimed that the Irons pondered over a late transfer window move for the youngster before he instead opted to join Aston Villa on loan for the season aಞfter the closure of the Premier League window.

The England under 21 international has ꦬscored 10 goals in 15 games for the Villans to date, with five of them coming in the last four days in a derby against Birmingham City and then against Notti🔯ngham Forest.

Abraham is a natural poacher and has the pace and mobility that once made Javi༒er Hernandez a much improved version of the player he is today, having lost the yard of pace that made the difference.

With height and strength to boot, Abraham is more than capableౠ of adapting to the kind of direct style that West Ham tend to favour and it is hard to understand why the Irons did not push harder fo𝓡r a deal.

Whilst Perez sits on the bench, having played just 107 of Premier League actiꦐon, Abraham is proving his point in the Championship🦹 at Villa Park.
