‘Superb’, ‘Masterclass’… Celtic fans are all saying the same thing after one player’s ‘tremendous’ display vs St Mirren
If there is one thing the Celtic fans can take away from the 2-0 win over St Mirren yesterday is that Joe Hart still has a lot to offer the club.
The 36-year-old goalkeeper is out of contract at the end of the season and Brendan Rodg💞ers is yet to offer him a new deal.
However, the Celtic boss was full of praise for his goalkeeper after he watched him produce a fine performance to send his team to the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup.
Speaking about his performance, Rodgers said, “He’s been brilliant. Heဣ’s so clean. Anything that comes in he takes the pressure off.
“Some of the teams put in real quality crosses and he deals with that really ﷺwell.”
Labelled ‘tremendous‘ by Celtic legend, Neil Lennon, Hart is still proving his doubters wrong after his save from an Alex Gogic overhead kick wowed the pundits and former players alike.
Celtic fans are loving Joe Hart
Whilst it cannot be denied that Hart has made a few high-profile errors over his time at Celtic, I think it would be fair to say that he has saved the club on more occasions than he has let the🌠m down.
And yesterday the Celtic fans were delighted with him after hiꦰs performance against The Buddies 𒅌earned the club a home tie against Livingston in the next round.
As I said before, Hart’s contract is up for renewal at the end of the season and whilst I believe that the club sཧhould be looking for his replacement, the veteran stopper 𓃲still has plenty to offer.
Hart could help coach the younger ‘keepers at the club and could be a more than able backꦉup to any new keeper that Celtic doꦚ decide to bring in.
But for now, let’s just applaud the legendary goalie for an outstanding performance yesterday and hope that there are many more like it tꦓo come thiౠs season.
