🍬Sunderland fans have been getting pretty used to watching their star youngsters leave the club, especially when they often have high hopes and expectations of eventually thriving elsewhere.
♉Never has Sunderland’s inability to keep hold of their better talents looked more sickening than it has after the first two months of the Premier League 2 season.
ꦓIt was revealed this week that Manchester United forward Joe Hugill has been nominated for the October player of the month award, along with current Sunderland talent Benjamin Kimpioka.

ꦏHugill has scored five goals in seven games so far for the United youngsters since he joined the club from Sunderland earlier this year.
ꦕIf the 17-year-old was to win the monthly award, he would be following in the footsteps of Leeds United youngster Sam Greenwood.
ꦍAnother ex-Sunderland talent, the England youth international had been in prime form for Leeds before suffering an injury on international duty.
💜Greenwood left Sunderland for Arsenal in 2018 but this summer decided the pathway was clearer for him at Thorp Arch.
🍨Sunderland fans have had to watch the likes of Greenwood, Hugill, Bali Mumba, Logan Pye, Morten Spencer, and Luca Stephenson all leave the club in recent years as they struggle to get out of League One.
🌱Hopefully, the next batch of talent that the Black Cats unearth won’t follow a similar pattern.
