Steven Gerrard is now interested in signing 27-year-old Tottenham player for Al-Ettifaq
Steven Gerrard is considering a move for one Tottenham Hotspur player after Al-Ettifaq allowed Jordan Henderson to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Another window and another opportunity for Spurs to wonder what exactly they are going to do with Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele has been disappointing since joining Galatasaray on loan. And there have been suggestions that Gala could look to cut Ndombele’s loan deal short.
Al-Ettifaq interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele
It says a lot that Ange Postecoglou was not tempted to keep the Frenchman when he has got some amazing performances out of a number of players who were previously on the fringes of the Spurs squad.

So if he does return from Turkey, it is hard to imagine that he will be staying in North London. Fortunately for Tottenham, there is interest in Ndombele.
According to a report from , Al-Ettifaq and Rennes are both keen on Ndombele.
Tottenham would surely welcome Saudi interest in Frenchman
Losing Henderson would have been a big blow for Al-Ettifaq and the Saudi Pro League as he joined Ajax just a few months after leaving Liverpool.
Ndombele’s talent is obvious. So it would have the potential to be a statement signing for the league. But clearly, his time at Tottenham looks to be all but over.
Spurs would be delighted if they could get an offer from Saudi Arabia. While not all of the clubs are owned by PIF, there does appear to be the funds to make some decent offers. And Tottenham are surely at the stage where they would welcome any serious bids for Ndombele.
If he does leave on loan again, it needs to be somewhere where he is ideally going to play. Ultimately, Tottenham would have given up hope of recouping most of their money a long time ago. So anything which gives his value a bit of a boost ahead of the summer would be helpful.
