‘Stay positive’, ‘Don’t understand it’: Arsenal fans react as Willian rejects latest Chelsea deal

Arsenal and Tottenham’s hopes of signing Chelsea winger Willian seem to be increasing after it was reported the Brazilian has rejected the Blues’ offer of a new deal.

The winger has, according to turned down fresh terms at Stamford Bridge which would have seen him stay with the club until 2022.

It is becoming apparent that the 31-year-old is keen to cement a longer deal than that. A three-year contract, then, would seem the minimum any admiring club would need to offer the Chelsea man.

Both Spurs and Arsenal have been credited with an interest in the winger. However, news of his contract rejection has got Arsenal fans talking on Twitter, with plenty of Gunners having their say on the matter.

It seems, then, that Arsenal supporters can’t agree on if Willian should be signed or not. So, with that, here’s a look at what some Gunners supporters had to say as Willian rejects a new deal with Chelsea.
