‘Speechless’: Arsenal fans stunned by Ben Godfrey decision against Everton
Arsena🧔l fans have been left stunned by the decision of Mike Dean not to send off Ben Godfrey for Everton, afte꧋r he appeared to stamp on Takerhio Tomiyasu.
The Everton defender looked ꦐto put his boot in the face of Arsenal’s Japanese star. Howe📖ver, after being referred to VAR, Dean opted not to look at the incident himself and the game continued. On reflection, it looked a red card and it would most certainly have been given in other games this season.

However, it wasn’t to be, and at the half-time break it is 1-0 to Arsen𒊎al in what has been a poor Monday Night Football affair. But, it’s safe to say the standard of the game and Martin Odeg🦩aard’s late goal are the last thing on Arsenal fans’ minds.
Over on Twitter, their supporters have been left stunned by the decision to🐲 keep Godfrey on✅ the field. Even Richarlison’s disallowed goal just before the break wasn’t enough to detract from frustrated Gunners fans.
Here, then, is what some Arsenal fans had to say about Ben Godfrey and his ‘stamp’ on Tomiyasu.
