Southampton and Ipswich Town showing Glen Kamara interest
Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been informed that the Finland international is on the radar at both the St Mary’s Stadium and Portman Road, as ꦚhe could leave Rennes in January⛄.
Kamara – who joined the L🅷igue 1 outfit in an move from Leeds United back in July 2024 – faces an uncertain future under Jorge Sampaoli, who replaced Julien Stephan in November.

The Argentine left the Finnish central midfielder on the bench for the recent 1-0 defeat agai📖nst Nantes, and does not seem to view him as a regular starter, offering just 13 minutes of the 2-0 win over Angers last time out.
TBR Football understand this situation has alerted Southampton, who wanted Carlos Corberan before Juric, and Ipswich, with Burnley, Sunde𒁏rland and Middlesbrough ♏also showing interest in the 29-year-old.
Kamara is contracted to Rennes until June 2028.
Glen Kamara described as a “relaxed” footballer
Markku Kanerva – who managed Kamara in the Finland National Team – spoke highly of the Southampton and Ipswich target💦 back in 2021.

The 60-year-old told AFP: “He’s very relaxed all the time (on the pitch) but that doesn’t mean he’𓃲s not fighting.
“He is de🦂finitely one of our key players. Hopefully he will continue his development, it would be nice to see him 🌌playing at bigger clubs.”
Despite Kanerva tipping Kamara for big things, he never got a chance to play in the Premier League while at Leeds United – al🐈though that could well change in January.
