Some Leeds fans congratulate Berardi after defender returns from long injury lay-off
Some Leeds United fans were congratulating Gaetano Berardo after the center-half made his first appearance of the season across all competitions.
Berardi has had to wait a while for his first start in the English top-flight, but, finally made his debut when Marcelo Bielsa brought him on as a half-time substitute for Diego Llorente.
The Switzerland international has missed most of the term due to a suffered during the closing stages of last season’s Champions campaign in the 3-1 win over Derby County.
He only fully recovered back at the start of March and made his first start of the season in the win under-23s’ Premier League 2 loss to their Crystal Palace counterparts.
