Sky Sports reporter has Tottenham transfer update from the training ground before Ange Postecoglou’s press conference

Tottenham are running out of time as they look to streamline Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

Ange Postecoglou is desperate to get rid of a couple of fringe players before the deadline closes.

Tottenham could extend Giovani Lo Celso’s contract and then loan him out before the deadline, while Ange Postecoglou has just received an offer for Sergio Reguilon.

Elsewhere, Alfie Devine is now attracting interest from Saudi Arabia as Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ittifaq look to bring him in on loan to fill their under-21 quote.

These will likely be the priorities for Spurs as the window winds down with the club’s transfer business in terms of incomings looking to be done.

Interestingly, Michael Bridge has now provided an update on the situation on deadline day live from the training ground…

Michael Bridge reveals state of play on deadline day at Spurs

Of course, Spurs fans will be hoping for potential incomings as there’s nothing quite like the buzz of finding out your side are going to sign someone out of nowhere.

Perhaps a centre-back could be on the radar with Ange Postecoglou’s options slightly limited there.

Well, that’s not quite what Michael Bridge said live on from the Spurs training ground, but he didn’t rule it out.

“Now in terms of transfers. I understand that Spurs’ business is probably done in terms of incomings but never say never with spurs on deadline day. But as it stands Postecoglou, the key target was Solanke.”

Baris Alper Yilmaz has just been put on the market and has interest from Spurs, but it remains to be seen as to whether that’s an opportunity Spurs want to explore.

Do Spurs need any signings?

Many fans have grown concerned by the options available to Ange at centre-back.

The Lilywhites currently have Radu Dragusin, Micky van den Ven and Cristian Romero as their recognised centre-backs.

Postecoglou has said that the likes of Archie Gray and Ben Davies can play there too, but you don’t want to leave yourself in a position where a couple of injuries sees you starting inexperienced and weaker options.
