Sky journalist has ‘disappointing’ transfer update for Tottenham fans as window enters last week
We’re heading into the final week of the transfer window, and Tottenham potentially still have some work to do.
Spurs apparently still want an energetic midfield player, and Jacob Ramsey is someone Spurs are interested in.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound as though the Aston Villa man will be on the move this late in the day.
Indeed, according to Michael Bridge, speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Tottenham’sꦡ interest in Ramsey has now faded, and only one incoming is now likely at Spurs before the close of play on Friday.
Tottenham only likely to make one more signing
🃏Bridge shared what he knows on the Tottenham front.
🌌“I think they need more competition for Vicario, some proper competition. A left-sided defender has been discussed. I think the Jacob Ramsey deal has gone away because they can’t do a deal in terms of Lo Celso. I think maybe one more, but if that is it in terms of incomings, that’s it. I hate to disappoint fans, but that’s the information I have as it stands,” Bridge said.

Tottenham are looking strong
𓂃Tottenham won’t be that busy in terms of making new signings this week, but they don’t necessarily need to be.
ℱSpurs have made three smart signings already this summer, and with a number of exciting young players coming through, this squad is looking strong.
🔜Spurs are already in a good position to push on and qualify for the Champions League this season, and while another addition would be welcomed, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if Tottenham stuck with what they have.
ꦉAnge Postecoglou has already built a strong side, and it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing if Tottenham did keep this group together and just look to grow from here.
ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚJacob Ramsey won’t be joining Spurs this week by the sounds of things, but Tottenham are still in a strong position.
