Simon Jordan accuses Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp of becoming arrogant
that he believes Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is showing signs of arrogance in his interviews with the media, following the Reds’ Champions League triumph𝓰 last season.
Liverpool continued to steam roll the Premier League with eight wins from eight, ♋after James Milner scored from the penalty spot in the 95th minute to beat Leicester City 2-1 – after James Maddison had cancelled out Sadio Mane’s opener.
Prior to last season’s Champions League success, L🥂iverpool had never won a trophy under the guidance of Klopp since he joined the club in October 2015 – four years ago. Klopp was labelled the nearly man, especially after 🧸losing to Real Madrid in 2018.
But after beating Tottenham 2-0 in the final, Klopp has even more confidence – especially with his side winnin𒈔g all eight of their league 💝games this season. Former Crystal Palace owner Jordan accused Klopp of becoming too arrogant.
“I’m just wondering, part and parcel of the appeal of Klopp that’s gotten him away with certain things over the last two-and-a-half years – before he won the Champions League he was a perennial final loser for Liverpool – and I’m now looking at him thinking, ‘you have now won something for Liverpool, are you ♏changing your demeanour?’
“There was a mesmeric million dollar smile that brought all aspects of the media 🍌to be a universal admirer of Klopp. But is he changing? Is he becoming infected by this disease of arrogance that lots of football managers get🍬?”
TBR’s view – Is Klopp becoming too confident at Liverpool?
Liverpool a꧟re yet to hit the heights of last season. However, they are showing the kind of signs expected from the Premier League champions, winning games without p꧒erforming well enough to do so.
Against Leicester, a draw was a fair result. Against Sheffield United, the Blꦰades deserved a point. But Liverpool have escaped with six points. Whether they can keep that up, remains to be seen. But Klopp is right to feel confident if Liverpool keep winning.
