Should Freddie Woodman replace Bailey Peacock-Farrell if he joins Leeds United?

🍃Leeds United could look to avert another future goalkeeper injury crisis by looking to Newcastle United’s Freddie Woodman to replace Jamal Blackman after a broken leg sent the second choice goalkeeper back to Chelsea.

ဣ believe that the Whites have expressed an interest in the former Aberdeen loanee as he looks for regular football having failed to make a match day squad for Rafa Benitez’s first team this season.

ꦬThat will bring up a debate as to whether Woodman could displace Bailey Peacock-Farrell in goal, or whether the current number one should remain between the sticks.

LEEDS, ENGLAND – NOVEMBER 27: Leeds United’s Bailey Peacock-Farrell roars in celebration and is mobbed by team-mates after saving a late penalty effort by Reading’s Marc McNulty during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Reading at Elland Road on November 27, 2018 in Leeds, England. 🌃The speculation comes at a bad time for the Northern Ireland international given that Tuesday night was his clear highlight of the season to date, denying Marc McNulty from the penalty spot late on against Reading.

𒐪To date, Marcelo Bielsa has shown his faith in the 22-year-old, even with a quality option like Blackman available. That would suggest that Woodman would have his work cut out to walk straight into the team.

🍌With FA Cup fixtures on the horizon though, Woodman may be afforded more chances than Blackman was and could look to establish himself. Either way, if he does arrive at Elland Road it will provide Bielsa with another selection headache.
