Sheffield United fans react as Ravel Morrison wins man of the match in EFL Cup win

Sheffield United midfielder Ravel Morrison won the man of the match award on his full debut. Morrison started against Blackburn Rovers and impressed the fans with his performance in the EFL Cup.

The Blades progressed to the Third Round courtesy of goals from Richard Stearman and Oliver Norwood. Sam Gallagher pulled one back for Blackburn but it proved to be a consolation.

Morrison provided the assist for Norwood’s goal and looked lively throughout. The ex-Manchester United and West Ham midfielder showed his strength to win the ball back, burst into the box and then cut it back for Norwood to strike.

Sheffield United took a bit of a risk signing the 26-year-old after his troubled past. He has had off-the-field issues and has failed to kickstart his career since moving abroad with Lazio, Atlas and Ostersund.

But there has never been any doubt about Morrison’s natural ability and Chris Wilder has given him a lifeline. The former England U21 midfielder repaid his faith with a good performance and he will be hoping to add to his 12-minute cameo in the Premier League. Here are how fans reacted to his display.
