Saudi Arabian club waiting for greenlight from ‘unique’ Newcastle player before lodging new bid this summer
Newcastle United’s summer got up and running properly over the weekend with incomings and outgoings capping off a busy end to the month.
The PSR deadline provided the Newcastle board with a lot of pressure when it came to balancing the books with player sales.
Eddie Howe waves goodbye to Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh over the weekend for a healthy profit to Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion, respectively.
But that does not look like it is going to be the end of Newcastle’s player sales this summer with the Toon having a number of players who could still depart St James’ Park.
And it is now suggested there is a club in waiting for one of Howe’s men to give them the greenlight before lodging their bid this summer.

Newcastle forward in demand for Saudi move
The Magpies no longer find themselves in a position where they will be pushing players out the door this summer in order to meet the financial regulations.
Howe’s side are expected to have safely got over the line with the two sales over the weekend but that does not mean there won’t be more to follow.
Striker Callum Wilson is a player who could depart Tyneside over the coming weeks with the forward receiving interest from both England and Saudi Arabia.
And he is not the only Newcastle player who is subject of interest from the Middle East.

According to , Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab are waiting for Miguel Almiron to give them the thumbs up before making their bid this summer.
The Saudi side showed interest in the Newcastle winger back in January after lodging a bid in the region of £25m.
However, the Paraguayan did not accept the move to the Saudi Pro League which has Al-Shabab waiting on the 30-year-old to directly approve a move before showing their hand.
Newly-promoted Saudi side also considering Miguel Almiron
Al-Shabab are not the only side who are keen on the Newcastle winger with newly-promoted side Al-Qadsiah in the frame.
Almiron is said to be on a broad list of options for the Saudi side but their main focus is on other options as it stands.
There may well be a fair bit of frustration heading Almiron’s way if he does finally accept a move to Saudi following his refusal in January.
Of course, personal reasons will come into it with the player having a settled life in England, but it certainly could have eased Newcastle’s PSR worries if he left in January.
Howe labeled Almiron as “” last season but his time on Tyneside does feel as if it could be coming to an end.
