Ruben Amorim says two Tottenham players looked really ‘tired’ in the second half vs Man United
Tottenham Hotspur beat Manchester United 4-3 in what was a very entertaining game of football in the EFL Cup.
Spurs went into the game with a number of injury issues. They were so short of options that Ange Postecoglou had🌳 to give Sergio Reguilon♓ a chance off the bench.
The scoreline makes the game look close, but Tottenham were 3-0 up and cruising at one point. They were clinical in front of goal, very good in atta🐼cking transition and mostly lo𝓡oked great.
However, the North Londoners gifted United a way back into the game, and things got ♏a lot more interesting in the final moments.
Ruben Amorim has꧙ n🐭ow had his say on the role of his substitutes.

Ruben Amorim says Radu Dragusin and Pedro Porro looked tired during Tottenham vs Man United
Tottenham can only blame themselves for letting Manchester Un🌱ite🍸d get back into the game.
Spurs were in complete control at 3-0. All th𝓡ey had to do was manage the game, but Postecoglou al﷽ways wants his team to attack and they did just that.
That gave United opportunities and a couple of mistakes from Fraser Forster in goal allowed substitutes Joshua Zirkzee and Amad Diallo t🃏o score. Jonny Evans found the net too late in the g🏅ame.
Amorim was asked in an interview after full-time whether he felt the starting lin🎐e-up was wrong because all of his goalscorers came off the be𝓡nch.
The Portuguese tactician refused to go down that route, but he hailed his substitutes for taking advantage of tired Spurs players like Radu Dragusin and Pedro Porro.
Amorim told Alex Crook on : “They di𒐪d a great job, all the team🃏, because I think during the game, we controlled the game.
“But, in the end, with Dragusin more tired, Porro moꩲre tired, with all the guys, the opponent, more tired, we have more space and more ability to press the opponent.
“The subs did their ꧃job and also the guys who started the game.”
Tottenham will have three injured players back soon
Tottenham have very few options to rotate right now because of inju🐠ries.
Postecoglou is doing the best he can to give everyone a break, but ෴some of them have had to play co𓆏nstantly. That, unsurprisingly, has led to fatigue.
However, Postecoglou confirmed a triple injury boost for Tottenham before the Manchester United clash – Mikey Moore, Ben Davies and Richarl෴💖ison are all expected to be back very soon.
Richarlison even dropped a hint about his return via an Instagram pไost a😼head of the game against the Red Devils.
Tottenham take on Liverpoo🃏l in the EFL Cup semi-final. They are likely to have Davies, Richarlison and Moore all back available for that game.
