Ruben Amorim ready to bring £50m winger who plays like Bukayo Saka to Manchester United in the summer
TBR Football understands that Sporting CP starlet Geovany Quenda is ready to join Manchester United in the summer.
The 17-year-old has been on the Red Devils’ radar even before Ruben Amorim’s arrival at Old Trafford with TBR Football cℱonfirming in October that Quenda was a tar🍸get for United.
United have been in contact with Quenda’s camp for months as ♛🍰they aim to tie up a deal for this summer. He does not turn 18 until April, after which point he can move to England.
Geovany Quenda keen to play for Ruben Amorim again at Manchester United
Manchester United have been informed by Geovany Quenda that he does want to link up again with Ruben Amorim, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.
ꦏAlthough United have been warned that Quenda’s team would like an agreement in place sooner rather than later, which is why they have been stepping up their interest in recent weeks.
Several clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, have shown an int𒆙erest in Quend⭕a in the last six months.
However, United have been encouraged by their talks with the pl🀅ayer’s camp and they believe they are firmly in pole position to se🍷cure his signature.
Manchester United prioritising right-wing back position
Having already landed Patrick Dorgu to play as their left-wing back, United see Quenda, who has been compared to Bukayo Saka, as the ideal signing to fi𝕴🎐ll the same role on the right.
Getting the win♊g back situation sorted, is seen as one of the key features by United’s coaching staff to getting the Amorim system to work.
TBR Football understands that Sporting are ready to allow Quenda to leave the club but they want a deal worth around £50 mill⛄ion, although ൲United would pay closer to £40 million.
The wing-back has a release clause of just over £80 million, but 🌼that is not expected to be required in order to get him in.
