Robin van Persie thinks Liverpool have just made a great move

Robin van Persie has now praised those at Liverpool for making a fantastic decision.

It is🌳 rare to see someone so strongly associated with Manchester United – Liverpool’s bitter rivals at the summit of English football over the years – praise those at Anfield.

The Dutchman famously had a spat with Steven Gerrard at Anfield back in the 2013/14 campaign, and ultimately scored 58 goals in 105 appearances for Manchester United꧅, which wouldn’t make any♌body very popular at Liverpool.

Nevertheless, Robin van Persie has now shared some rare words of positivity regarding Liverpool

Robin van Persie praises Liverpool appointment of Arne Slot

The 40-year-old has now heaped praise on Liverpool for the decision to hire Arne Slot.

Impressed by the Dutchman’s work at Feyenoord – which involves an Eredivisie title and one KNVB Cup – Liverpool opted to appoint t𝕴he man from Bergentheim as a replacemen🍌t for the iconic Jurgen Klopp, somebody who will be very, very tough to emulate.

Speaking abou🐟t how he expects Slot to fare at Anfield, Van Persie ESPN: “I🔯 think very well, very well.

“How he wants to play is in line with Klopp’s style of play and what they ar💖e used to there. I expect them tꦜo do very well.

“Liverpool is one of the nicer clubs in England. It is a very n🐻ice, new opportunity for him. I believe it ꦇwill go very well.”

Slot oversaw 26 wins from 34 Eredivisie outings at Feyenoo🦩rd in the 2023/24 campaign, with his side scoring 92 goals while conceding just 26.

Jurgen Klopp has already helped the Dutchman

In some ways, Klopp has already♍ helped Slot out by giving the 45-year-old his very own chant, befoꦰre he even takes charge of his first game at Anfield.

That might not seem like a lot, but it gives the Liverpo🍎ol fans something to unite over and reel off immediately if Slot enjoys a positive debut in charge of the Reds, which could get this new relationship between manager and fanbase off to a perfect start.
