Robbie Fowler says he’s really not a fan of £65m Arsenal player

Robbie Fowler knows a thing or two about what makes a great Premier League striker.

Indeed, Robbie Fowler💮 is one of the best to ever do it in the Premier League, scoring 162 goals throughout his career in the English top flight.

Speaking on The Lineup, Fowler has been discussing some of the modern-day Premier League attackers, and he’s shared his verdict on Arsenal’s Kai Havertz.

Havertz is always a player who splits opinion. Havertz has been praised by some for his workrate💟 and ability to read a game, while others have criticised Havertz for his profligacy in front of goal.

ꦉHavertz was blasted for his performance against Newcastle this week.

♎Fowler was asked to give his opinion on Havertz, and, he made it very clear what he thinks of the German.

Robbie Fowler not a fan of Kai Havertz

🐬Fowler was very honest when he was asked to give his opinion of Havertz as a player.

🐻The pundit said that Havertz isn’t his cup of tea, claiming that he isn’t consistent enough as a player.

🐼“Where do you stand on Kai Havertz and the Kai Havertz arguments?” Fowler was asked.

🍨“If I’m being honest, he’s not my cup of tea. I think he’s ok. It might come back to bite me, but if you’re a team with real aspirations of winning the Premier League and the Champions League then you need someone better than Kai Havertz in that focal striker point of view,” Fowler said.

🐲“He’s ok, he’ll do a job every now and then. I don’t think he’s been as consistent as you’d probably like him to be.”

Kai Havertz’s inconsistency in numbers

𒐪Fowler says that Havertz is way too inconsistent as a player, and he’s not wrong.

💯Indeed, for Havertz, it’s often feast or famine in front of goal.

🦂The man has now played 58 league games for Arsenal, and when you break down his goalscoring throughout that period into smaller runs of games, you can see just how hot and cold he does blow.

꧑Havertz can either be on a hot streak or he can be struggling, you never really know what you’re going to get from him from one month to the next.

ꦑThat makes life difficult for Arsenal. One minute it looks like Havertz is the man to stick with and have faith in, the next, it looks like you need a new striker.

Arsenal want Alexander Isakꦜ, and it’s fair to say he’d be an upgrade on Havertz.

🐬Havertz’s inconsistency may be leading to indecisiveness in the transfer window, and that may well be affecting Arsenal’s title tilt.
