Report: West Ham need to pay £50m to sign Burnley’s James Tarkowski
West Ham United will have to pay £50 million if they are going to convince Burnley to sell James Tarkowski this summer, .
The Hammers have a point to prove to their supporters in the remaining weeks of the window. The club surprised many last week by allowing Grady Diangana to join West Bromwich Albion on a permanent basis.

Sky Sports reports that Diangana’s sale was sanctioned to try and help facilitate moves for some of David Moyes’s own targets. And one of those on his radar is Tarkowski.
, the Irons have made a £27 million bid for the centre-back. However, Burnley have reportedly rejected the offer and informed the Hammers that they will need to pay £50 million.

It remains to be seen how West Ham will respond to Burnley’s demands. But given that they are currently £23 million short of the Clarets’ asking price, it would come as little surprise to many Hammers fans if they are unable to pay that figure.
TBR View: Tarkowski move unlikely, but would be an excellent signing
Tarkowski has been superb in the Premier League for a number of years. And he is now an England international.
He would therefore, be an excellent signing for Moyes’s men. But unfortunately, a move looks unlikely as things stand.
Missing out on Tarkowski arguably piles the pressure on the West Ham board. The frustration over Diangana’s departure will not be alleviated unless there are new arrivals coming in very soon.
