Report: Troy Parrott set to leave Tottenham and join Millwall on loan

༒ that Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott is set to leave the club on loan and join Championship side Millwall until the end of the season – in what is his first loan away from Spurs.

💃Parrott, 18, is thought of highly by Spurs and their supporters – and was handed his first senior appearances last season, starting against Colchester in the Carabao Cup and making three more substitute outings.

♈Already a fully-fledged Ireland international, Parrott is some way behind England skipper Harry Kane. Jose Mourinho even showed in Kane’s absence that Parrott would not start up front.

🅘Parrott has opted to leave on loan and Millwall – a club where Kane also went on loan during his early days – are set to win the race for his signature. A medical is set to take place in Ireland.

TBR’s view – Millwall perfect for Parrott

൩Parrott needs regular game time and with Millwall’s current options up front struggling – Matt Smith has two in his last eight and Tom Bradshaw last netted in January – Parrott will surely feel he can break into the starting line-up.

ꦡNot only that, but Kane’s loan at Millwall during the second half of the 2011-12 season saw Tottenham finally realise they had a player on their hands. He netted nine times and created five more in 27 outings.

Parrott will be hoping for a similar impact.
